Wish me luck...

Tonight is the first night Isaac and I will be alone in our new apartment. Though I moved everything in last week, we'd still been staying with my parents while I waited for the paint and polyurethane fumes to fade. While I'm still not totally unpacked, I've unpacked enough to make the place livable. I still haven't turned my gas on, bought silverware or gone grocery shopping, so, until I do all those things, I'll still be mooching my meals off my parents. That's okay, though; it gives me a reason to come back.

For the past few days I've felt like I can't wait to get us into our new apartment. I love my parents and I'm so grateful for all the support and assistance they've given me the past few weeks (not to mention the past 25 years), but last week I'd started feeling like it was definitely time for me to be back on my own again. But now that it really is time, I'm almost terrified. I guess it's starting to sink in that I really am on my own. I'm about to find out what it's like to be a single mom. And I'm scared. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but right now, I'm scared.

I would be scared too, but even though I don't know you very well, I know that you are strong and capable and you guys will just fine.

I know that you do not know me, I am Tasha's mom, but I have been following your blog lately and I am a regular reader of UTW and by what I have read, you won't need any luck at all. You are a fine, ambitious, strong young lady and you will do well. Best wishes in your new journey!!!!

I know how scarey it is to be on your own with a small child, but you have lot's of support from your parents and friends and you'll do fine!
You can always call me and Sums we are only a couple of minutes away if you need anything! Or if you are just lonely and want to come over and watch TV with us or play wii , you are always welcome!
We love ya girl!

Luck, schmuck. You don't need it. You are a loving mommy and intelligent woman...I think you and Mr. Isaac will make a fine life for yourselves. I'm excited for you to get settled into your new apartment!

Love ya!

I meant to say 'an intelligent woman'. :)

This is your friend SeeMySpots and I didn't realize you had linked to me until I checked out my Google Analytics referral traffic. Thanks for the link love. :)

I KNOW you can do this. From the first time I met you, I was impressed by your tenacity. Anybody that can successfully take on your role at UTW and get a "thank you" from the "K" can do well with a small one. Drop me an email sometime or post a comment and we'll keep in touch!

You will be in my thoughts and prayers. :)

You are such a NERD!!! Your apartment was not a train wreck...I was surprised at how organized it was, seeing as though you hadn't officially organized it yet ;) My house is a train wreck on any given day of the week, so I have no prejudices when it comes to train wreck homes. lol. I like your apartment, and I can't wait to come back. I saw the pics of W, G, and I playing, and I was quite jealous. I didn't tell Miles, or else he would have been MAD, MAD.

Sorry I didn't return calls to you or Shelly this weekend. I'm glad you guys got together, and I'm sorry I missed it. Our plans changed a bagillion times, and we ended up in Muskogee, with the in-laws.

Lunch Friday this week?? If you want to get the boys together one evening, let me know. We'll come to your train wreck. lol.
